Economics for Future
To enrich the teaching and learning of economics for all students and promote excellence in the field of economics.

To bring together exceptionally talented students from around the world and have them share economics learning and cultural experiences.
To set new standards in the education and assessment of highly gifted economics students.
Focuses not just on past economic theories but encourages thinking about emerging economic issues. Includes cutting-edge economic research and theoretical achievements to prepare students for future challenges.
Consists of multiple-choice questions on basic economic concepts, material-based questions, and "Thinking and Innovation" sections that demonstrate students' innovative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Encourages using economics to solve global problems and applies "economics thinking" to complex issues like global warming, artificial intelligence development, and trade conflicts.
Adheres to principles of "equal result" and "equal opportunity." Values students' thinking modes and problem-solving abilities while providing academic guidance, ensuring background or education level doesn't affect participation.
The World Economics Cup is designed as a collaborative team event where teams of six members work together to tackle complex economic challenges. This format promotes teamwork, diverse perspectives, and collective problem-solving.
Teams must consist of six students under a school adviser's guidance. Students register through their school adviser who manually assigns and forms teams in the system.
Individual students can pre-register but remain ineligible until they form a complete team. The adviser is responsible for team coordination and final registration.
For exam modules, each team member completes the exam individually. Team scores are then calculated as the average of all six members' individual performances.
For presentation modules, all team members must be present simultaneously to collaborate and deliver their presentation together as a unified team.
New schools must have a teacher complete the registration form. After submission, WEC will verify registration and provide dedicated school/advisor accounts along with exclusive student registration links.
All registrations must be completed by March 31, 2025 at 23:59:59 (local time). Ensure your team formation is completed before this deadline.
An open student registration link is available for initial interest, but students still need an adviser to endorse their registration and form them into eligible teams.
All modules are conducted ONLINE. The test is a virtual test and the presentation is submitted in video format.
